This see is no constrained, the only has designtime positions, so it will jump to (0,0) uneven you add constraints.

*

The layout editor permits you to location widgets almost everywhere on the canvas, and it records the current position through designtime qualities (such as layout_editor_absoluteX.) These features are not applied at runtime, so if you press your layout top top a device, the widgets may appear in a various location than presented in the editor. This may help someone.I am utilizing Android Studio 3.1 and i faced same problem but i didn"t uncover these choices (Constraint Layout -> Infer Layout) as suggested in the over answer. Then after closely checking i discovered "Infer Constraint" option above the layout window (refer come screenshot below in step 1)

Step 1: click "Infer Constraint". This may solve your problem, but if her widget still not visible (as in my case), climate follow action 2.

You are watching: Android studio this view is not constrained

*

Step 2: click on "AppTheme" and also select "NoTitleBar" layout as selected in the screenshot

*

This solved my problem.

From Android Studio v3 and also up, Infer Constraint was eliminated from the dropdown.

Use the magic wand symbol in the toolbar menu over the style preview; over there is the "Infer Constraints" button. Click on this button, this will automatically include some currently in the message field and the red line will certainly be removed.

These qualities are not used at runtime, therefore if you push your layout top top a device, the widgets may appear in a different location than presented in the editor.

To resolve this, make sure a widget has both horizontal and also vertical constraints by dragging indigenous the sheet connections.

In my task this error was resulted in by android:layout_width="fill_parent" and android:layout_height="fill_parent" expressions. Fill_parent constant is obsolete. An altering to come match_parent solved the problem:

Here is my solve (100% working):

1, you re welcome drag and also drop the photos that you gotten in in folder "drawable". Note to save the original name

2, Click the play(Green Triangle) button

3, It mirrors an error please click your image and right click> Refactor> Rename>All place> Refactor and then operation the applications again> Restart

Note that the picture name have to not save on computer "-", "_"

When you run the app it will save the name to storage so just re-enter the picture with your initial name and also then click Refactor> Rename> enter an additional name (must no contain any kind of characters)> select All place(This will readjust the entire corrupted name to something that works better)> Refactor and rerun her application!

To place a SurfaceView in the center of the ConstraintLayout, using the holder setFixedSize, adjust layout_width come "wrap_content".
