Reason : It wont go previous C because clearly it does not weigh as lot as the various other boulder or every little thing that it. Hence fails to press the spikes down on C.

You are watching: Who dies if e pushes the stone

Well our girlfriend D on the other hand is going to have actually a poor day.

EDIT : This has actually been request before and a user (u/Littleme02) ran simulations and stuff. Right here is what the says.

After extensive experimentation with part highly innovative simulation software its noticeable the topic D dies in all instances, C die if the rolling boulder has higher density.

If the boulders have actually a density of 2kg/m2 https://u.rubixy.com/u/1ea29.mp4

If the boulders have a density of 7.5kg/m2 https://u.rubixy.com/u/4faad.mp4

If the roll boulder have actually a thickness of 7.5kg/m2 and the stationary has actually a thickness of 0.6kg/m2 https://u.rubixy.com/u/edff6.mp4

As is apparent D is having a poor time, C has actually a shitty job to

That's no true, as the boulder doesn't start on the line, but a square behind it.

This is the answer. The ball needs to roll either 1/2 revolution or 3/2 transformations to ar the cutout end D's head. No of these will take place as the guy's head is 2π systems or one revolution from the early stage point. For this reason D is a goner. The cutout will then roll straight over the ramp point on the lever, i m sorry is about 9.42 systems or 3/2 transformations from the start point thereby staying clear of it launching itself and bringing the thing to an end with simply the one casualty.

At least that's what I created 7 days back when this critical appeared.

I'd say nobody dies. I'm presume the thickness is the same to both balls (considering the very same labeling or shading of both balls), therefore nothing will adjust once the round reaches the lever.

Why is D safe? The ramp is 5 units long (Pythagoras Theorem) and an extra unit is added (+1/2 units from wherein the round starts till it will the ramp, and +1/2 devices from where the ramp ends and also D's head starts) make the ball 6 systems away native D's head. The ball will have rotated 6 units after 1.5 rotations, making the cutout satisfy D's head.

Now, if i were E, I would certainly die due to the fact that I'd for sure trip and also stumble down the ramp breaking my neck as I tried to driven the ball.

If they are like regular humans, castle all dice some day.

If we’re talking about the chances of castle dying appropriate after E pushes the ball, then A and also B are safe – that round is no going come jump end the other ball (unless it’s yes, really light and then it wouldn’t kill any kind of of the letter-men anyways). D can duck, however if he doesn’t, the round will press his head under – he will feel the one in the morning though. As for C, he’s more than likely safe too, yet it counts on just how much the round weighs.

Because of the crescent in the sphere wouldn’t d be safe. Also since the ball is missing a part I️t would certainly be lighter than the other full ball.

Everyone's speak D, yet have we thought about E?

Depending top top the density and also thickness the the cylinder, it's walk to it is in seriously bottom-heavy, possibly enough such that E won't have the ability to push it every the means to the slope. It can just roll back and to like him?

Why would it role backward top top a level surface, particularly when the only force being exerted is from that side?

D only

Clearly the ball near E doesn’t have the exact same area as the round on the bottom so we have the right to assume C, B, and A space safe.

As the the round itself. I shows up to have actually diameter the 2 offering it a circumference of 6.28~.

If we assume the all spacing lines space perfect than the triangle is 5 long (quick math through the 3, 4, 5 rule). Include to this the fifty percent a unit ~ above top close to E and the around 3/4 top top the bottom the the ramp. This place the length from ball to D at 6.25.

Since the sphere will only rotate 1 time before it gets to D, he is dead. If the hollow part had been on the bottom to begin everyone would live.
